Impact Ambassador sets up Leadership Factory to raise new crop of leaders

Yomi Ojute an Impact Ambassador recently flagged off a leadership development training under a platform known as the Leadership Factory.

Over 148 individuals and 40 Corp Members, 28 of which are business owners have been trained at factory, a leadership and business development social enterprise with the aim of building ordinary people to become leaders and ordinary organizations/businesses to lead in their category. With his penchant for excellence, he initiated a monthly leadership and business development training in partnership with American Corner Ibadan which is jointly owned by the American Goverment through its embassy in Lagos.

His penchant for leadership and excellence was recently rewarded with recognition by Nigerian Bottling Company as a mentor for their Youth Empowered Summit South-West region and his selection as the Best Serving Corp Member in Oyo State Ministry of Youth & Sports.

 Yomi was also recently nominated to serve as the Director of Youth Affairs (Graduates) for the Fela Durotoye’s Running for a New Nigeria Oyo State team tells his own story.

About the Leadership Factory:

At the Leadership Factory, we’ve been able to cover topics such as Leadership as Disposition (Foundation for Leadership),How to Get the Right People and Get the Best out of them,Life and Time Management Principles for Personal and Professional Effectiveness, and Role of Leadership in Nation-Building. We have been  able to train148 individuals and 40 Corps members who comprise of students and business owners.

For the purpose of measuring the long term effectiveness of our trainings, My team and I created a feedback form for participants to fill periodically to ensure that participants are kept on their toes to apply all that is being taught.

We’ve also  facilitated an online leadership development training for Purple Care Initiative, a non profit organization passionately  committed towards having  a standard  society through equipping of vulnerable children and empowerment of the girl child with educational materials, seminars and mentorship programs. We would be expanding the reach of our trainings in August  where we would be training budding leaders and entrepreneurs  in Akure. The proposed date of this training is August 4th 2018.

Fund Raising for the Projects :

Yomi emphasizes that all the trainings and  activities are probono,  “I wish to state  that all of these trainings and activities were done for free. However, some participants decided to support with cash every month to ensure sustainability. I have been blessed with a great team who work tirelessly to ensure our vision becomes a reality. ”

Valuable Lessons from Impact Leadership Academy:

I appreciate Engr. Odumakinde, Mr. Joseph Baiyekusi and every member of Impact Your World Leadership Initiative team for the valuable lessons and the leadership principles that was imbued in me at the Academy. I’ve been able to gain traction on my projects as a result.
