2019 IYW Day Holds Across 12 ILC Chapters in Nigeria and Houston, Texas

As part of concerted efforts towards marking the 4^th edition of our annual Impact Your World (IYW) Day, over 165 elderlies identified in all our twelve (12) Chapter locations within Nigeria and America were empowered with items varying from  wheelchairs, washing machine, food items, medical aids and funds.

Speaking at the event which held on Saturday, July 6^th 2019, the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Joseph Baiyekusi said that the IYW day initiative was designed to impact  communities and areas of operation across our ILC chapters as well as make significant contribution to society; “Leadership is not by position; it is by service. Nothing gives more joy than the opportunity to serve” he said.

In her welcome remarks; Mrs Odusote, Director of the Winiseph Care Home, at one of the elderly homes visited in Lagos, expressed her deepest appreciation and showered encomiums on the team’s laudable project. She emphasized on the challenges facing todays elderlies saying “aging comes with many challenges. The loss of independence, diminished physical ability, deteriorating health, and financial incapacity are the most common problems that senior citizens all over the world face today.”

The annual IYW Day themed: ‘Serving the Elderly’ reflects our brand’s promise to impact lives. It is  designed to offer employees and other stakeholder’s , opportunities to give their time and resources to defined causes of the organization.
