Joseph Baiyekusi studied Chemical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and stepped into the consulting and communications industry having worked a short span of four (4) years in the Oil & Gas Industry, working in both the Upstream and Downstream sector, rising to the position of Business Development Manager in one of the Oil Servicing companies in 2001.
While in Texaco Overseas (before the merger with Chevron) as a Trainee Engineer between 1991 and 1994, he worked at different times in the Reservoir, Drilling and Asset & Project Management departments. In 2001, as a Consultant with Comerint Dietsmann, he helped package recommendations for the outsourcing operations in Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) for their Swamp and Land area operations.
Joseph has over 15years in business, marketing & training consultancy, helping individuals and organizations establish viable and profit-spinning business and marketing departments. He consults for different industries from writing business plans, feasibility studies, supervising start-up companies and recommending winning process and business formulae for their operations. He is also mentor to many aspiring youths wishing to discover and fulfill their God-ordained purpose in life in national and spiritual matters. He is on the Board of KingsHill School of Discovery, on the Advisory Board of Nigerian Police Children’s Association (NIPOCA).
He presently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Impact Your World Leadership Initiative. As the COO, Joseph has organized numerous leadership conferences and training across different university campuses and far away, Houston Texas. He is the Faculty Chair of the life transforming Impact Leadership Academy and the National President of the Impact Leaders Club set up in 9 Nigerian University campuses and 2 campuses in the United States.
He is a conference speaker, prolific writer, a publisher and a Life Coach to many upcoming authors and publishers. He is highly creative, an inventor always wanting to break the norm in proffering unique solutions to every client brief. Joseph is in every way today, a communications expert, a business and leadership Consultant, an Entrepreneur and a tireless Researcher with a passion to help communicate company or people’s vision effectively to their desired customer and audience.
Joseph holds a certificate in Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge – Massachusetts, USA. He had a life changing discussion with one of his Professors while at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, which drives his passion and believe that only Africans can change Africa, and by extension, only Nigerians can change Nigeria. Armed with this philosophy, he has not stopped in driving change through his MIND ENGINEERING talks matched with purposeful pursuits as opportunities present itself.
In January 2016, he got a Harvard recognition from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government for his outstanding works for capacity development amongst youths in Nigerian campuses and establishment of the Impact Leaders Club on our campuses. He is a recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Award of Honour from the Niger Delta University, for his sterling contributions to Youth Capacity Development. He has also been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the University of Calabar for driving purposeful change amongst the Student leadership.
He is married to his best friend Christine and they are blessed with five (5) gifted children.
