Akinwumi Odumakinde (President)

Engr. Akinwumi Odumakinde, a graduate of Chemical Engineering from the University Of California, Davis in the United States of America is the President of Impact Your World Leadership Initiative. He has over 20 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. Five years of this experience was acquired in the Exploration and Production sector of the United States of America Oil and Gas Industry, with over 15 years dedicated to providing a strong voice in pursuit of and championing the causes of private sector initiatives geared towards local capacity building and effective technology transfer to the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry. Engr. Akin began his career with Chevron Refinery, Richmond, CA, USA where he was engaged as Summer Chemical Engineer between July and September 1987 before proceeding to Dow Chemical, Pittsburgh, CA, USA as Research/Process Engineer between July and December 1988 and Arco Oil & Gas, Bakersfield, CA, USA as Operation/Analytical Engineer between June 1990 and May 1994. But because of his determination to face the challenge to succeed and further pursue the cause of local capacity building, he returned to Nigeria and floated a company DeltaTek Engineering Limited. The success of DeltaTek Engineering Limited in the Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry today under his able leadership led to his pioneering the formation and operation of companies like DSV Pipetronix Limited where he served as Vice President, Operations; DeltaTerratek the company he founded; Prime Atlantic, as Director and DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited (a Joint Venture Company between DeltaTek and WorleyParsons) where he is currently the Managing Director. He combines experience, creativity, and proven management skill with sound business sense to deliver excellence in these positions. The successful technical partnership of his company, DeltaTek with a renowned Worldwide Engineering Design Company, WorleyParsons has attracted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of over 80 million US dollars leading to the formation of a new JV called DELTAAFRIK (which is 51 percent and 49 percent owned by DeltaTek Engineering a 100% indigenously owned company and WorleyParsons) respectively. This has ultimately led to the creation of good paying employment opportunity for over 600 Nigerians in this sub-sector. DeltaAfrik has since repositioned and is one of the leading Nigerian Design Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Companies in taking advantage of the Nigerian Content Act of the Nigerian Government, the fulfillment of the ambition of a right thinking Nigerian. He has handled projects worth over $1Billion for major JV operators such as Chevron, Addax, Total, Exxon Mobil and other companies. He Commands a vast and comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian content models currently in use in Malaysia, Oman, Brazil and Saudi Arabia that are strong examples and case studies for formulating Nigerian Oil and Gas local content initiatives to improve the lots of Nigerians. He is an active member of COREN, Institute of Directors, AICHE, SPE and NSE. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE). In 1993, Engr. Akin took a giant step against all odds and relocated from the United States of America with a strong pull and passion to come help rebuild Nigeria. He had his own fair share of knocks when he came but that didn’t discourage or daunt his resolve to positively contribute to the well being of this endowed country. Little by little, he got his acts right and navigated the stormy waters to birth a reputable engineering company. Engr. Akin has been able to build a world class engineering company with a “grass to grace” story, building institutional and human capacities. He has successfully raised and released leaders to start their own companies or move to embrace bigger career challenges in the international market. His DeltaAfrik Company has also been engaged in humanitarian services through the DeltaAfrik Charitable Foundation (DCF) meeting the needs of the underprivileged in our society. He is a man of integrity and purpose who has touched the life of many. No doubt his rich pedigree will be brought to bear as he embraces this fresh national call having successfully used the DeltaAfrik pilot to test the waters of raising leaders in the market place while trading godly principles and values. Engr. Akin is joyfully married to Olayinka and they are blessed with three gifted children.

Joseph Baiyekusi (COO)

Joseph Baiyekusi is the Faculty Chair of the Impact Leadership Academy. A Chemical Engineer from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Joseph is burdened for change in Africa and Nigeria in particular considering her vast natural resources and human potentials. In the area of visionary and purposeful leadership, he has committed himself to drive this change through platforms like the Impact Leadership Academy, speaking at conferences and churches both local and international, drafting a template for change in the present democratic structure of the country, constructive writings, etc. Joseph had a life changing discussion with one of his Professors while at Harvard which drives his passion and believe that only Africans can change Africa, and only Nigerians can change Nigeria. Armed with this philosophy, Joseph has not stopped in driving change through MIND REVOLUTION matched with purposeful pursuits as opportunities present itself. He is a Leadership Consultant with an undiluted focus to raise a new breed of Leaders in the private and public space that will initiate the much need change and development the average Africa yearns for. Joseph has worked with thousands of youths inspiring and motivating them to take their destinies in their own hands and embrace responsible pursuit in achieving their dreams. He is a recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Award of Honour from the Niger Delta University for his sterling contributions to Youth Capacity Development.

Adebowale Eboda

Adebowale Eboda holds an LL.B from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife and an LL.M (Taxation) from Boston University School of Law, Massachusetts. Debo has over 12 years legal experience that cuts across legal practice, telecommunications and oil and gas. He is currently a Legal Advisor at DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited. He has held various leadership positions at all levels of his education and currently holds a number of leadership positions including – Board of Trustee Member, Mentors Assistance for Youths & Entrepreneurs Initiative (MAYEIN); Secretary General, Lagos Chapter of Federal Government College Ilorin Old Student Association; Vice President Membership, DA Toastmasters; to mention but a few. Debo holds a Certificate in the Art and Practice of Leadership Development from the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School.  He is happily married and blessed with a son. Debo committed to social change, policy formulation and Nation Building

Mutiu Balogun

Engr. Mutiu Balogun (a.k.a. Balo) is currently the Manager of Projects in DeltaAfrik Engineering Ltd with over 23 years post-graduation experience comprising 2 years in lecturing and 20 years in Oil and Gas facilities design, engineering, construction and project management activities for upstream, downstream, pipeline, onshore and offshore production facilities and FPSO projects. He has executed multi-disciplines/multi-million dollar projects in Europe (France), America and more in Nigeria for International (IOC) Companies. In support of company-wide operations, Balo has been involved in leading strategic and leadership initiatives including the development and implementation of corporate values, culture and ethics and national capacity development for young engineers.

In the last eight years, Balo led a large project team of expats and nationals to execute and deliver various oil and gas facilities projects with EPCM scope of work and estimated $2.5Bn in Total Installed Cost. He was responsible for the overall delivery objectives for all the project phases of work including risk management, ensuring delivery assurance, systems development and improvement, local capacity enhancement and resourcing. Balo is committed to building teams, coaching and mentoring and he has successfully developed direct reports and young engineers in achieving excellence and won significant awards.

Balo is a registered member of the Nigerian society of Engineers, COREN, PMI and a certified Project Management Professional. He holds a Master degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering and has acquired various trainings across multifunction, including leadership courses at the prestigious Harvard, London and Lagos Business Schools. Balo mentors aspiring leaders and deliver trainings on leadership and project management, thus enhancing human capacity development.

Olarinde Obajuluwa

Olarinde Obajuluwa’s present job is making the special talents in DeltaAfrik perform better continuously. He has over 12 years cognate experience in Manpower Development that cut across Management Consulting, through Finance and now in Engineering sectors of the economy.

Olarinde, who has specialty in Training Materials Development, had facilitated over 100 training programs. He started his career over 12 years ago a management consultant with a medium size consulting firm and quickly rose to become a senior in the firm before moving over to start up the Training and Manpower Development Department of two other companies before the present.

Olarinde has attended numerous management and professional courses onshore and offshore.

Henrietta Onwuegbuzie

Henrietta Onwuegbuzie leads sessions in entrepreneurship on the MBA and Executive programmes at Lagos Business School (LBS), and is currently the Academic Director for the Owner-Manager Programme and Project Director for the Impact Investing policy initiative at the Lagos Business School. She has an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Navarre in Spain and an MBA from Lagos Business School, and a PhD in Management (Entrepreneurship), from Lancaster University, UK. Prior to joining the LBS faculty, she managed non-profit educational projects for the development of women in different states in Nigeria and subsequently, worked in the banking sector with key responsibilities in corporate banking. Henrietta is a member of the Governing Council of the African Forum in Brussels, and sits on the Board of a number of Nigerian companies. She has extensive consulting experience, spanning projects at the State level to conglomerates and SME's in various industries. On a voluntary basis, she mentors a number of aspiring and established entrepreneurs. Her areas of interest include strategies for entrepreneurial growth in developing countries, indigenous entrepreneurship, as well as the development of low-cost high impact business models that can be applied to both small and large-scale businesses. Other areas of interest include designing frameworks for generating systematic innovation and writing winning business plans. Henrietta has spoken a several international conferences on developmental issues. Her conference paper on indigenous entrepreneurship won the award for the best overall conference paper in 2011, at the IAABD conference in Canada. She also won the first prize 2010/2011 Emerald/ALCS African Management Research Fund Award.  She has written several case studies in entrepreneurship and Decision-making and won the first prize for the Emerald/AABS case writing competition for 2012.  She was recently conferred the 2013 African Women Development Champion Award by the Centre for Economic and Leadership Development.

Olumide Olugbenle

Prince Olumide Olugbenle is a graduate of Economics from the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University and an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School, where he obtained an Executive MBA. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Management. He has over 27 years working experience spanning professional practice, business development, training and executive management. He has attended several courses and facilitated training sessions locally and internationally. He leads sessions in transformational leadership at the Institute for National Transformation, where he is also a fellow. Pastor, Teacher, Public Speaker and Transformational Leader, Olumide Olugbenle pastors The Father’s House, Rehoboth International Christian Centre and currently serves as an Executive Director (Part-Time) at the Institute for National Transformation. He also serves on the board of social, academic and business organisations. He is married to Princess Mowunmi Olugbenle and the union is blessed with 3 boys – aged 19, 17 and 10.

Olubukola Adesida

Olubukola Adesida is a legal practitioner by profession and is the Head of legal in DeltaAfrik. ‘Bukky’ as she is popularly called abhors injustice of any kind, courteous, reserved, affable, soft spoken and unassuming in disposition. Listening to Bukky one gets to appreciate the meaning of grammatical eloquence and erudiction. In her spare time Bukola enjoys reading ficition and non-ficition novels. She is actively in a number of charitable and volunteer organizations. She is hardworking, disciplined, orderly and organized. Bukky is happily married with two children. ‘Bukky’ as she is fondly called enjoys reading biographies and listening to inspiring to 'good’ music.

Christine Baiyekusi

A proactive and versatile professional with a wide range of skills gained from a variety of operational environments over the years. A natural self-starter combined with excellent communication skills to produce a focused and diligent approach to meeting and exceeding all operational targets and objectives.

Remi Dairo

Remi Dairo is the President of Institute of Productivity and Business Innovation Management (IPBIM) a globally focused African institution of productivity and innovation learning. Debola Deji-Kurunmi

Debola Deji-Kurunmi has successfully transited corporate consulting into the non-profit development space, combining her passion for social change and advocacy with strong consulting skills in human capital management, organisational development, business strategy and learning development. In the last six years, she has grown expertise in research, HR consulting and non-profit management having worked in Covenant University, Human Capacity Development Consultants and Phillips Consulting as well as serving on the Faculty/ Board of social enterprises including Project STRETCH, Sesewa Support Services, Enterprising Nigeria and Watermark Academy.

Debola holds a BSc in Estate Management from Obafemi Awolowo University, and is a trained Social Entrepreneur of United Nations University and an Alumnus of Social Sector Management from Pan Atlantic University. She is a Certified Recruitment Professional, a Certified Workplace Personality Profile Analyst, a Certified Job Evaluation Analyst and a World Bank Approved Facilitator.

As the Head, Foundation Initiatives in RegCharles Foundation, she provides strategic leadership for the execution of youth and women programmes, NGO consulting and social impact investing efforts.

Gbenga Moses Daniel Ademujimi

Afolabi Davidson

Afolabi Davidson has learnt several lessons from the vicissitudes of life. These experiences have taught him invaluable lessons that have given him the drive to find his purpose in life, develop himself to pursue that purpose and sow seeds that help others. He believes strongly in bringing about National Transformation through a worldview that speaks about individual and personal responsibility of every Nigerian.

A Computer Information Systems person by training with further education at Cornell University’s School of Industrial Labor Relations – (Strategic Human Resource Practices) and professional certification in Business Process Management. Afolabi has worked in Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, IBM, and GE Capital IT Solutions and other smaller organizations in different sectors of the economy. In Nigeria, his experience cuts across not-for-profit as well as for-profit organizations.

Tunde Elesin

Mr. Tunde Elesin has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with over 13 years of experience in the Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry, providing business development leadership and directing different aspects of engineering design and professional practices in the Hydrocarbons sub sector. He has an Executive Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in America. Presently, he works for DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited (A DeltaTek and WorleyParsons Company) as the Vice President Development. He is experienced in turning business prospect into successfully executed projects, with a proven accomplishment of over 100 projects in the last 10 years. Married to Bridget Elesin and blessed with 3 Children.

Jegede Oluwaseun

Jegede Oluwaseun holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. He describes himself as an incurable optimist and avid believer in the quest for a greater Nigeria. Seun is thrilled by subjects of intellectual and entrepreneurship development. He is a Carrington fellow of the US Consulate, Lagos, an ambassador of Impact Your World and One young World. He works as business consultant with a leading consulting company.

Yomi Fawehinmi

Yomi Fawehinmi works in Chevron Nigeria Limited. Yomi's expertise is built on a solid academic credentials and vast experience in teaching, research, consulting and practise . Yomi holds a First Class Bachelors and Masters degree in Estate Management from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He also holds another Masters from the University of London. Yomi was a lecturer at both  FUTA and the University of Lagos where he was also a member of the University Senate. Yomi has also facilitated sessions on corporate responsibility, negotiation and branding for the executive programs and the MBA of the prestigious Lagos business school. Yomi holds both the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and the Human Resources Management Professional (HRMP) certification from the foremost Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM). He is a certified Trainer of Supervisors and Leaders. He is also a certified Partnership broker. He has represented his employers on the board of several Non Governmental organizations. He currently works in a multinational in Lagos with a career spanning the public affairs, strategy and learning and Development functions.

Olayanju Olasunkanmi

Olayanju Olasunkanmi (Sunkanmi) is a quality professional with keen interest in innovation and improvement. Trained as an Applied Chemist, He has facilitated professional trainings in Management. He believes valuing every human being will make Nigeria a better country. He is a recipient of the prestigious DeltaAfrik CEO’s Award, past President of Club Verve, member of DeltaAfrik Toastmasters Club , member of Impact Your World Think Tank and an Aspiring Entrepreneur.

Oladeji Oluwaseyi

Seyi Oladeji has worked in the non-profit sector for over 5 years, helping to pioneer various social innovative ideas at the University of Lagos Campus, Nigeria. He is an Impact Ambassador and currently a staff at Impact Your World Leadership Initiative as a Logistics Officer.

He is a volunteer with Generation for Societal Change, a non-governmental, non-profit organization, as the Lagos Zonal Coordinator, reaching directly over 12,000 students, in Secondary and Tertiary Institutions and has given over 200 books on Leadership and Self Discovery since 2012. Seyi is an effective communicator who uses his effect communication skills to inspire young people for social change. He is a regular guest on UNILAG 103.1 FM Education Today Program where he educates the public on values and career education, reaching an audience of well over 500,000 across Lagos.
