Engr. Akinwumi Odumakinde, a graduate of Chemical Engineering from the University Of California, Davis in the United States of America is the President of Impact Your World Leadership Initiative. He has over 20 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. Five years of this experience was acquired in the Exploration and Production sector of the United States of America Oil and Gas Industry, with over 15 years dedicated to providing a strong voice in pursuit of and championing the causes of private sector initiatives geared towards local capacity building and effective technology transfer to the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry.
Engr. Akin began his career with Chevron Refinery, Richmond, CA, USA where he was engaged as Summer Chemical Engineer between July and September 1987 before proceeding to Dow Chemical, Pittsburgh, CA, USA as Research/Process Engineer between July and December 1988 and Arco Oil & Gas, Bakersfield, CA, USA as Operation/Analytical Engineer between June 1990 and May 1994. But because of his determination to face the challenge to succeed and further pursue the cause of local capacity building, he returned to Nigeria and floated a company DeltaTek Engineering Limited.
